Customer-Owned Generation
(Interconnection Requirements for Generators)

If you are a PPL Electric Utilities customer and are interested in connecting a small generator — such as a windmill, solar project, bio-digester or other facility — to PPL Electric Utilities'  transmission and distribution system, you must follow several steps and meet certain requirements.

These requirements are designed to ensure that your facility meets PPL Electric Utilities' standards for safety and will not diminish the reliability of our electric distribution system. They're also intended to help ensure that equipment, both ours and yours, is compatible.

If you would like to connect generation with PPL Electric Utilities' transmission or distribution system, please complete one of the applications that are listed below and e-mail a scanned copy of the application and specs.

Note:  To expedite processing, please be sure to complete the application in its entirety and include a copy of the inverter specifications, when applicable.
