Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is all of my energy use exposed to the market price?
A: No. Only actual energy use that is more or less than the CRL is priced at the market price. All other non-energy bill components are applied to your actual usage based on standard Rate Schedule LP-4, LP-5, LP-6, IS-P, or IS-T charges, including all appropriate rate riders.

Q: How long will my Demand Side Initiative Rider contract last?
A: Service under this Rider is for an initial term of one (1) year from the date service is first rendered and thereafter for one (1) year terms until cancelled by one month's written notice, service under this Rider will end January 1, 2005.

Q: How will I receive prices and the CRL?
A: By 5 p.m. each day, PPL Electric Utilities will transmit hourly prices to the customer via a secured Internet Web site (PPLlink). The CRL will be provided in the Electric Service Agreement and will be presented on PPLlink along with the historical loads.
