The new PPL Electric Utilities Web site makes it easy for you to view your current bill, compare bills and see your usage history. And if you’re a small business, it can help you better understand how you use energy. Getting started involves just a few simple steps.

Creating your user profile 

The first step to using myPPL is to create your user profile. To do that:

  • Click “myPPL” (upper right corner of Web page).
  • Click “first-time user.”
  • Select a user name and password.
Once you’ve designated a user name and password, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail.
    •  Important: Click on the link in the confirmation e-mail to activate your user
      profile. You must respond within 24 hours.
    •  Log in using your user name and password. Remember, your password contains a
      symbol and is case sensitive.

    Adding your account to your profile

    Now that you’ve created a user profile, you need to link a PPL Electric Utilities account
    to that profile. You will need a copy of your current bill to complete this step.

    • Enter your bill account number.
    • Enter the bill due date
    • Enter the total amount due, which is highlighted on your bill.

    Adding more accounts and sharing access with others

    You may link multiple accounts to your user profile or share access to an account. If you
    choose to share, another user can see detailed usage information and pay bills for the
    account. The party you’re sharing with must have a user profile before you can share. To
    add accounts or share:

    • Click “Select a different account” in the navigation that appears on the left side of the myPPL pages. You’ll be taken to the “My Account List” page.
    • From the “My Account List,” select the appropriate link to either add or share an
      account.

    Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’re ready to go. Select from the many links
    on the left side of the page to view bills, make a payment, and enroll or cancel automatic
    bill payment or paperless billing. Update your telephone information, request a duplicate
    bill or view your payment history.

    There are several ways to review your account records using myPPL. Select “Bill
    History” for billing details. View a basic history of your usage and charges or click on the
    “Usage Detail” and “Cost Detail” tabs for more views.  On history screens, most columns
    have a ”Graph” button in the heading.  Clicking on the button will display a bar graph of
    the values in that column.  Where appropriate, a line graph of degree-days can be
    overlaid by clicking the “Degree-Days” radio button below the graph.
