PPL Electric Utilities is currently offering a time-of-use option. The option may provide residential customers with an opportunity to save money by using less electricity at times of peak demand.

The time-of-use summer season begins June 1 and ends September 30. Peak hours during the summer season are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.  The time-of-use winter season begins October 1 and ends May 31 of the following year. Peak hours for residential thermal storage customers (RTS rate) during the winter season are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays.  It’s important that you review your usage patterns to determine if you can continue to benefit from the time-of-use plan.
