This is a great program for those who want to save money while reducing their carbon footprint. It lowers the cost of installing ground-source heat pumps or solar photovoltaic arrays through financial incentives based on the energy efficiency performance of the systems. The solar photovoltaic array portion of this program is fully subscribed and is no longer accepting rebate applications or reservations.

Ground-Source Heat Pumps
A ground-source heat pump takes advantage of moderate temperatures below ground to boost energy efficiency throughout your home. It can save you energy and money by extracting underground heat in the winter and transferring heat back into the ground in the summer. Now with the Renewable Energy Program, you can receive a rebate of $217 per ton, up to a maximum of $1,200 per residential customer, for the installation of a ground-source heat pump.

Photovoltaic Arrays (Solar Panels)
Rooftop or ground-mounted solar panels can significantly reduce your energy bill by harvesting the sun’s power. Through this program, customers were able to receive rebates for the residential installation of these solar panels. This portion of the Renewable Energy Program is fully subscribed and is no longer accepting rebate applications or reservations.
