electric heat pump water heater project
Heat pump water heaters transfer heat from the air around the water heater to the water in the tank, saving you energy and money. They rely on heat pump technology that’s been used for years to heat many customers’ homes.

Compared to a conventional 50-gallon tank, GE says the GE(R) hybrid heat pump water heater can save up to 62% on the cost of heating water, about to about $320 annually in energy costs*.

In addition to the $300 rebate being offered by PPL Electric Utilities, you may be eligible to receive 30% of the installed cost of the water heater back through a federal tax credit available for electric heat pump water heaters.  Please refer to the following links for information about the Federal Tax credit.

Customers will receive their rebate check during the month of December.

There are 200 units available at this time.
