Act 129 Energy Efficiency & Conservation Plan

On October 15, 2008, Pennsylvania Governor Rendell signed House Bill 2200 into law as Act 129 with an effective date of November 14, 2008. The Act includes requirements for Pennsylvania Electric Distribution Companies to cost-effectively reduce electricity consumption and peak demand on their systems. The Public Utility Commission has issued a series of orders implementing the Act. Under those orders, PPL Electric must make a number of filings with the Commission. This website contains PPL Electric Utilities' filings and other information related to Act 129.

  This preliminary annual report focuses on reported and adjusted (corrected) savings. Please do not focus on verified savings or preliminary verified savings because most of the verification is not complete. As stated in Note 3 on page 1, PPL EU thinks it is premature to include these results in any report other than the final annual report due in November. Verified savings, net savings, the cost-effectiveness evaluation, and the process evaluation will be available in the final annual report due November 15, 2011.
   
  As you review the report please be aware of all of the different timeframes stated in the tables. Results are shown for CPITD (cumulative portfolio/program inception to date), PYTD (program year to date which are the results for this program year only), and IQ (incremental quarter which are the results for this quarter only).
