Act 129 Energy Efficiency & Conservation Plan

On October 15, 2008, Pennsylvania Governor Rendell signed House Bill 2200 into law as Act 129 with an effective date of November 14, 2008. The Act includes requirements for Pennsylvania Electric Distribution Companies to cost-effectively reduce electricity consumption and peak demand on their systems. The Public Utility Commission has issued a series of orders implementing the Act. Under those orders, PPL Electric must make a number of filings with the Commission.
