Security Deposits

How long is my security deposit kept?

If you make 10 out of 12 payments on time, we credit the deposit in the 13th month.

Do I collect interest?

If we hold your deposit more than 12 months, interest applies. The interest rate in 2006 was 6 percent.

What happens when I stop service?

We apply your deposit to the final bill. If it’s larger than the bill, the difference is refunded to you.

Can the deposit be waived?

Yes. Call us at 1-800 DIAL-PPL (1-800-342-5775) to see if you qualify. Customer service representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
