Save Energy & Money

For Act 129 Stakeholders

Act 129 legislation, which became effective in November 2008, requires Pennsylvania Electric Distribution Companies (EDCs) to cost-effectively reduce electricity consumption and peak demand on their systems. Subsequently, the Public Utility Commission issued a series of orders implementing the Act.

Quarterly & Annual Reports

This preliminary annual report focuses on reported and adjusted (corrected) savings. Please do not focus on verified savings or preliminary verified savings because most of the verification is not complete. As stated in Note 3 on page 1, PPL EU thinks it is premature to include these results in any report other than the final annual report due in November. Verified savings, net savings, the cost-effectiveness evaluation, and the process evaluation will be available in the final annual report due November 15, 2011.

As you review the report please be aware of all of the different timeframes stated in the tables. Results are shown for CPITD (cumulative portfolio/program inception to date), PYTD (program year to date which are the results for this program year only), and IQ (incremental quarter which are the results for this quarter only).
