That’s why we’ve invested in focused upgrades and have continued to innovate and advance our electric grid through transmission projects, like this one, to improve reliability, protect the grid from extreme weather, reduce outages and enable renewable energy interconnections.
Stay Informed
We’re planning to rebuild approximately 38 miles of 500 kV transmission line in Perry, Juniata and Snyder Counties to improve reliability, protect the grid from extreme weather and reduce the frequency and duration of outages.
We’re committed to keeping landowners, stakeholders, municipalities and communities informed throughout each step of the project. We hosted two information open houses in December 2025 to address questions and seek feedback. Two additional open hoses will be held on August 11, 2026, and August 27, 2026. A project team will be on hand at both open houses to provide information about the project and answer any questions residents may have. There is no set agenda for the open house, no formal presentations and the information presented will be the same for both nights. Residents can feel free to visit at their convenience any time between 6 and 8 p.m., at whichever open house is more conveniently located.
