Understanding Your Bill

Introducing your new PPL bill

You’ll notice that your PPL bill looks a bit different. We made some changes — based on your feedback — to make it easier than ever for you to understand your bill, keep up on your payments and manage your energy use.

We want to make it easy for you to understand your new bill. Here are some highlights:

Due Date and Amount Due

This shows the total amount you owe on this bill and the due date.

Delivery

PPL delivers your power, but we don’t own the power plants where electricity is generated. This is what you pay to PPL every month for the safe and reliable delivery of your power, including the poles, wires and service.

Supply and the Price to Compare

The “supply” section shows the charge for the generation of the power you use.

The Price to Compare (PTC) is the rate you pay if you do not choose a supplier and receive PPL’s default service instead. It changes every June and December. Compare your current ENERGY CHARGE to the PTC to make sure you’re getting a good deal on supply.
