As part of our DER Management Pilot program, PPL Electric will own and install a DER Management device for qualifying new installations. This device communicates with smart inverter(s) and allows PPL to remotely monitor and manage the inverter in order to deliver good power quality and maintain grid stability.
PPL will provide a DER management device appropriate for your installation. The DER Management device installed may consist of one or both of the following components:
